Update of Zach and Jason

Zach's ortho work is coming along. This appliance that is in mouth is making his mouth spread. So you can see it is also making his front teeth separate. The gap has gotten a little bigger since this picture. We say the doctor this past week and March 20th is the big day that the braces will go on.

This is a pic of Jason with his scar. We should have been taking pictures since the beginning, but all well. As you can see the incision was big. We are very pleased with how well he has done. He is still on blood thinner and wearing his cute white circulation socks, but he only has to have blood work done once a month now instead of once a week. So right now, all is well.

Zach tying knots

Tonight as mom was making cookies in the kitchen, Zach and Jason were working on Zachs knots for Scouts. He has to make something using some of the knots that he has been learning.

Can you guess what it will be? Stay tune for the finally pitcure.
Dad helping out.
Zach has always liked knots, so he has figured them out pretty well.
Can you guess yet what it will be?

Jason went Snowshoeing

Yesterday Jason went snowshoeing for the first time since his surgery. The doctor said that it is just like walking and did not see a problem with him going. I wanted him to wait a couple of more weeks, but he really wanted to go. The group that he goes with meets every Saturday morning at 7 a.m. up American Fork Canyon.

Jason taking a break. He could not believe how much snow was up there.
The Group at the top of the summit.
What a view.
A beautiful winter morning.

Bowser & Zach get a haircut.

Time for Haircuts. Bowser definitely needed a haircut. He was getting really bad. I really wanted to get him cut short, but I was really worried because that we would be to cold. We talked about and decided that we would just get him really short and then put his cute little jacket on him.

BEFORE!!!

AFTER!!!
What handsome Boys

Bowser has had his haircut for about a week now, but Zach got one this weekend. Zach wanted to have his pic taken with Bowser to show off their new Do!!! I think Bowser lost 5 pounds with all the hair they shaved off of him. Bowser had a little problem at the groomers. They were getting ready to use the clippers on his nose and as then were using them, he stuck out his tongue and the clippers caught it. Luckily, the groomer rents space from our vet. They had to put him out and put three stitches in his tongue. For those of you who know Bowsers background knows that he already has a chuck out of tongue because of another dog attaching him several years ago. Now he has two chucks out of his tongue. He almost looks like he has a snake tongue. Stitches come out tomorrow.

p.s. No Bowser is not possessed. Taking a good pic of him is impossible.

A Snowy Sunday

February 2, 2008

Today was Stake Conference and they put a new Stake President in. President Warnick, who has been the 2nd Counslor in the Stake Presidency was called as our new President. His counslers are Brother Terry and Brother Wilson. We are so excited to have this new Presidency guiding our stake.

After we got out of Conference, we had ALOT of snow on the ground. Zach was was not very happy because he has been the one that has been shoveling all the snow this year. Jason has felt bad that he can not help but not for a couple of more months. Plus our snowblower has not been working so all of our snow has been moved by shovels.

Zach starting the driveway.
Mom decided that she will try to help out. There was alot of snow. I helped as much as I could, but my back would take so much. I could definitely tell the next day that I moved alot of snow.
We have this little measuring stick in our yard. This is how much we have in our yard right now. This was not all from this storm that we just had. You can tell that we have had a lot of snow.
Bowser always wants to be outside when we want to be outside. But it was really cold out. He just got a haircut so he had not coating on him. I did have his little fleece jacket on, but he still was cold, so while we were trying to get the snowblower going, I held him in my jacket. It didn't help much. But that is just Bowser, he is a shaker.
More Snow!!!!

I have to say that we finally got the snowblower fixed that day. Our neighbors came over and with a new spark plug and some starter fluid, we finally got it going. Of course we were done with our driveway, so we started helping others dig out of their driveways.
