Life goes to fast

Ok, usually I don't post unless I have a picture. But this week, I had to step back and realize that life is going tooooo fast. The main reason I was thinking of this, is because we registered Zach in JUNIOR HIGH. Yes, junior high. It was quite the ordeal. He wants to be in the band, but play the guitar, well they don't teach guitar in band. You have to take private lessons. Then his second chose was the sax, but you have to take clarinet for a year. He didn't want to do that. The band teacher asked what musical background he has. I told him 7 years of piano. He stongly suggested that Zach try out for Percussions. Yes percussions. I just it is very much like the piano. So maybe all of those piano lessons will pay off. But guess what he had to learn the DRUMS!!!! Not for a little bit, but still the drums.

After that night I just could not believe that he is starting Junior High and had these major decision to make. Are we making the right ones. Will he make good friends? Will he get good grades? Will he finally find his nich? We know he will, but it is just to crazy to thing that life is going this fast.

EASTER AFTERNOON

What a great day. After having a great day and church. We came home and had a BBQ with Debi & Scott's family. We had a small Easter Egg hunt in the back yard. Had the best burgers and potato salad in a long time and just enjoyed the day. The sun was so nice we all got a little pink on our faces and arms.

Zach and his braces.

Emma found an egg at the top of the garden arch. Uncle Jason lifted her up so she could get it.

Abby found all of her eggs.

And Dallin found his!!!

I loved this picture. Emma was down by Bowser talking to him. I heard her say to him, "Where are your eggs, Bowser?" I just happened to have my camera ready and told her to look up. I love it when you get the perfect picture. Happy Easter everyone.!!!!

Witness of Christ

Easter Sunday
March 23, 2008

This was the neatest Easter program that I have ever seen. The primary did a court room of witness that Jesus is the Christ. Here is a couple of the people that testified. I think I would believe anything that judge said.

Some of the witness were Joseph Smith, a Nephite, Peter, Mary Magdalene.

Peter and Mary. I think they are related!!!!

Zach Gets His Braces

March 20, 2008

The day has finally arrived. Zach has been waiting for this day for over a year. Why he was so excited, I don't know, but he has always wanted to get his braces since we started seeing Dr Graf three years ago.

Here is Zach before he is called back. He always likes to go early, because they have an X-box to play while you wait.

This blue stuff is a super duper cleaner for the teeth. At first, I thought it was going to be the glue that kept the braces on. Isn't pretty.

Here we go. This is Dr Arnold, he is the other Ortho in the office. I have to say this was really neat to watch. After the braces were on, the wires when on and then Zach got to pick the colors for the (I dont know what they all them) but they are the little plastic things that go around each brace. (When I was young and had braces they just wrapped wire around each brace.) Anyway that had been the big discussion that whole week. Mom wanted orange and he wanted blue. Well he got both. They alternated each tooth with each color. So it goes blue, orange, blue, orange, etc. So I guess both of us got our way. He is excited too, because they are his school colors.

This was his assistant that helped with everything. Actually, she has been the one that has helped at each of his appointments the last couple of times. It is not scheduled that way, it has just happened. Zach really likes her and was glad that she was the one for his big day. Since it is the end of the week, her name does not come to mind, but when I remember I will let you know.

All done!!!! Can you see the blue and orange. It is a little hard to see. But I have to say they look very cool. After we got done with his braces, Zach had to go and get some shots for 7th grade. I just figured to get all the pain done all together. After the day was done, I kind of felt bad because his mouth really was hurting and both is arms he could hardly move. The next day was even worse. One of his arms swelled up and had a big welt on it. He started to run a fever and was very miserable. But now we are glad it is all done and we can even see a small change with his teeth.

First Signs of Spring

March 19, 2008

Hey, Spring is finally here!!!!! Jason took this pic on the 19th because we are so excited. Of course, snow is expected this weekend and the weight of the snow will make these petals fall. But that is O.K. We are so excited to start our garden and get all of our planters filled with beautiful flowers.
