WHAT AN EVENING!!

So this evening I was home by myself while the boys were a Priesthood. Lindsey who stays with us every other weekend while she works her shifts at the hospital came home and said that she was hungery. I suggested that we go get something to eat. I have been craving a baked potatoe, so I said, "Lets go to Jason's Deli." They have the best BIG baked potatoe. So off we went. We were driving behind the mall, when a guy came up to the car trying to get our attention. Lindsey said, "Look he is bleeding." Sure enought he was bleeding from the stomach and wanted us to call 911 for him. I told him to get lay down on the grass while I park my car. I grabbed a blanket out of the back of my car to start pressure on the wound and called 911. They said to have him lay down and start pressure. We were one step ahead of them. Then they said to elevate his legs, so some girls that stopped got out a tool box and did that. The dispatcher wanted details of what happen so this is what I was relying to the dispatcher as the guy(Iwill call him Joe. NOT HIS REAL NAME) told me. Joe was over by Golds Gym and a guy came up to him and asked him for money. Joe said that he did not have any money so the guy wanted to fight him. So Joe got punched in the face twice and then stabbed in the stomach. Dispatched asked for Joe's ID so I could give an address. He only had $4.00 in his wallet. I cant belive that we walked all the way over to the mall before someone saw him. Police finally got there after another guy stopped that happen to be an EMT and started helping the Joe with what I had in my first aid kit. Police interviews us and had Joe gone withing 5 minutes. After it was all over I was shaking like crazy. I was glad that I was there. I love things like that. The only sad part is the blanket that I used was on of my favorite. A fleece American flag that I had added a cute border too. All well it was for a good cause. I hope that Joe will be O.K.

State Fair

This year we decided to go to the State Fair. Zach and I had never been, and Jason said he has not been since he was a kid. So last Saturday we got up and headed up to Salt Lake. We wanted to be there when it opened so we could enjoy before it got crowded and HOT!!!

See all the animals was probably one of our favorite things to do. Pigs are really PINK!!! They were the cleanest pigs we ever saw. Yes, the smell was bad, but not horrible.

A cute little goat. We were able to see a judging contest. It was interesting to see what the judges look for and how excited children are when one of their "goats" wins. This little goat was quite a talker.

Here we are waiting to watch the bear show. They had a food vendor where you could get a slurpee like drink. You had about 15 choices. Watermelon was my favorite and Zach liked the orange.

I heard that they had Turkey Legs at the fair. Luckly we found them right next to the bear show. So after the show we headed over for lunch. They were very hot, but very good We also had the best fresh cut french fries. I can't believe all the awesome food you can find at the fair. We have decided to make this a yearly event.

A New Man!!!

For a couple of years now, Zach has been asking for contacts. Well this year after talking with the eye doctor we decided to let him get some. He was so excited when he had his appointment to get them ordered. He was hoping to get them before pitcure day at school. His wish came true. They arrived the day before.

The Eye Clinic is really good with 1st time eye contact wearers. They do a little class with the paitent and make sure they are comfortable before sending them home. Of course mom had to take pitcures. First all because I take pics of everything, please I got a new camera.

Putting in the first contact. He got it in the first time. The office said they have never seen anyone to that before.
Learning how to take care of his contacts.

He passed his test and I have to say he looks very HANDSOME!!!!

Scouting Service Project

At the last Court of Honor, Zach was awarded the traveling trophy for all of the merit badges that he earned. One of the requirements for him to keep this until the next COH was that he needed to plan a service project. We were looking around the internet one day and saw that the Orem Owls have scouts troops some and do the color guard. So we signed them up. The perk. Free tickets to the game.

Kevin Echols, Colton Pearson, Parker Pearson, Zach and Alex Echols.
What a handsome bunch of boys.
Ok, do this and this and this and then you are done.

The boys held the flag while a little girl sang the National Anethem.

The girl that helped us with the color guard came up to Jason during the game and asked him if he would be part of a contest inbetween on of the inning. So course he did it. He got a prize if he won.

Here is the video of the contest. I know it is blurry but you can see how fun it was.

Jason won a gift certificate for Free carpet cleaning. We wanted the Magelbys certificate. All well maybe next time.

First Day of School

I cant believe that my BUG is going into 8th grade. It was just yesterday that I was taking him to preschool. As a mother I am so proud of this boy. He has accomplished so much in his 13 years. I am proud to be your mom!!!

Here are some of the kids waiting for Bus. KJ, Alex, Zach and Leah. Do you think they are a little excited!!!

Last Day of School at the Pool

Yesday was the last day of school. Zach did not go, so I got a pitcure of him as he was heading off to Seven Peaks with some of his Track buddies. I took the day off to spend with him. But as you can see he was gone most of the day. I do have to say that he is a great kid and got up and made me french toast. It was Yummy. I cant believe that he is thur his first year of Jr. High. He did really well this year. He made some great friends, joined the track team and learned what it was like to have real HOMEWORK!!!!

Also, last night he was invited to his first real PARTY. His friend Brandon had what I would call a "Hanging out" party. When I dropped him off and asked when I needed to come back, I was expecting 2 or so hours. Nope 4-5 hours for this party. WOW my boy is growing up.

Now summer is here and he will be busy with mowing lawns, hanging out at the pool and camping trips with the scouts. Zach we love you lots and are VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!

A New Coke Commercial

Last weekend Liz, Chris and Little Max was here. Sunday afternoon we were outside enjoying a nice meal. This is what we got on the camera. We think we should send it to Coke and see if they want to use it as a new commercial.
Ignore all the talking until the very end. That is the best part. Sorry that it is sideways, but you will still think it is cute. (Does anyone know how to rotate this?)

When Abby was a baby, Scott gave her a taste of Pepsi and called it bubble juice. So now we have taught Max what Bubble Juice really is. As you can see he really enjoyed it.

May 2, 2009

This last weekend the scouts headed out for a campout. They headed to 9 Mile Canyon down by Price. They had a BALL despite all the rain and mud!!!

Zach and his cousin Carter.
Hole in the Rock or is that a head in a rock.

Here is some of the cool graphics that they all got to see.

With all the rain and the clay dirt down there. This is what my car looked like. We are still seeing dried clay clumps falling from the bottom of the car. Will my car ever be the same? Ihave to say that our ward has a great group of boys in our troop. Jason said that they all got along and really enjoyed all the little hikes that they went on. Plus the mud, but what boy doesnt like mud.

Zach Gets His LIFE!!!!!

April 26,2009

At our last Court of Honor Zach received his LIFE. We are so PROUD of him. He has worked very hard this last year gettting to this point. Now his Eagle. He is going to take his time a little bit because he wants he Grandparents that are on a mission to be here for his project. KEEP up the great work Zach.

The scout committe started a "TRAVELING TROPHY" for the boys. Since Jason is the YM Pres. he thought that our Court of Honors need a little bit of change. So he made this trophy to pass along this next year. So guess who the first winner was. Yep you guess it. ZACH. It is kind of funny because he helped his dad make this. So he now has 3 months to plan a service project. He will report on it at the next Court of Honor.

ZACH THE MAN

I have to say that I am the PROUDEST MOM EVER!!!!! Let me give you a little background. Last weekend Zach came to me and said that he wanted to join track & field at the Jr High and do the shot put. I was a little worried because I knew that track had been going on for about 2 weeks. I told him if the coach said it was O.K. that I would support him. So Monday his cousin Abby took him into the coach. He said to fill out some papers and pay his fee and he could start practice as soon as that was all taken care of. So yesterday was his first day of practice. He loved every minute of it. Then today was his first meet. So here are some pictures of him during his event.

After his event we sat there for the rest of the meet cheering on his cousin and several of his friends while they participated in their events. It was getting close to the end of the meet and they still had not announced the results of Zach's event. So we stuck around for the finally annoucement!!!

You are looking at the final shot ball of Zach's event. HE TOOK 3rd place. I couldnt beleive it. As they were announcing the results, I kept telling him it was O.K. if he did not place it was his first event. But then they announced that he came in 3rd place. Of course everyone was really excited for him and alot of his team came up and gave him high 5's and of course mom cried. His 3 measurements were. 19 ft 2 inches, 17 ft and 19 ft. As a mom not knowing anything about shot put I thought these were pretty good measurements. Well I guess I did know a little bit. What is even funnier is that alot of the boys that did not place are much bigger and look alot stronger then Zach. But I know it is those Tolman shoulders that helped him throw that 10 lbs ball. So as you can that is why I am a very proud mom. Congrats to our neighbor Leah, she came in 2nd place for the 7th grade girls.

Then of course I have to say a big HORRAY to my Abby. She did great. This is her in the 400 meter relay. She KICKED BUTT!!! Her relay came in first in their heat. I dont know what the over all results were. So for those of you that know Abby will have to see if Debi post anything about her day. We have a friend that is the track coach for UVU and he is going to help the kids during spring break get even better. So watch out world here come Zach and Abby to take you all down at our next meet.

I KNOW, I KNOW

Life once again is crazy..... I had two extra people and 2 extra dogs in our home for 3 weeks. My sister Liz and little Max were here for a visit. It was fun having them here and they will be back in June.

Here are a couple of things that happened the last month.

This is no order. I still have not figured out how to get my pitcures to load in order or how to move them around. Does anyone what to give me a blog lesson?

We went to the Draper Temple Open House on a Friday night. Here are the boys. It was way past Max's bedtime, but he did great.

Zach and his Aunt Liz. She loves her Zach Man.

Max got a haircut. As you can tell he needed on in the worst way. I made an appointment with my girl that does my hair. She did a great job.

Now he looks like a "Little Boy" Isn't he HANDSOME!!!!

I have more pics, but have not downloaded them off my camera. I will post laster. I PROMISE!!

Happy Valentines Day

I was in Denver for Valentines Day. No I was not with my sweet husband, but he is my number one VALENTINE!!!!

Chris took us all out for a great dinner at a steak house. It was GREAT!!!

So here is my date for Valentines.

My little Max. He was the perfect date, except he got tired by dessert. I told him on the way home he was a great date, but he should not make it a habit to have his dad pay for his dates.

Mom and Berney. My mom had surgery two days later. So this was her last good meal for a couple of days. Glad to report she is doing AWESOME!! We love you Mom & Berney

Our Valentine Host and Hostess. Chris and Liz. Thanks again for a great evening.

IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH!! WATCH OUT

I know, I know. I am behind again. No I did not get our Christmas Eve ER story on, so if you want to know about it, I guess you will have to and see us.

But once again, Jason has had another procedure. Not a major one, but a very interesting one. For a couple of years he has had a fatty pocket below his rib cage. The last couple of months it has really bothered him, so he decided to have it removed. This is the finding of the pain.

Good news is that it is not cancerous or anything, just FAT!!!!!
P.S. Zach was our photographer and he loved watching every minute of the procedure. Could he be the next DR. TOLMAN!!!!

I do follow all of your blogs when I have a minute to look. Just no time for comments. That is probably why no ones make comments on our post. I understand. But would love to hear from you all. The Tolman's
