What a weekend.

I have to say that this weekend did not start out the greatest. But it did get better

Friday night we were going to a Red Box at Maverick to get the new Iron Man movie. We pulled into the parking lot and was slowly looking for a place to park. We stopped for a minute because we saw a van moving backwards to where we were heading to park. While we are waiting to see what that van was going to do, we had another car back right into our driverside of the door. The driver did not back up slow like she should have, she gunned it pretty good. So the drivers down is pretty bad. The whole door was bent so bad that we could not even shut the door all the way. There is at least a good half inch gap between the door and the car. So no driving it with all the rain going on. Then the mirror is completely bend in and there are several other minor damages. We called the police so we had a record. The other driver did not have her insurance with her so he let her go and get it. So fianally 45 minutes later we were on our way home with the movie.

Here is where you can see the gap in the door. Then here is the mirror.

Jason called both insurances today. Our agent is out of the office this week and the other insurance will have someone contact us in 24 hours. What a pain.

Then the rest of the weekend was good.

Saturday we had tickets to the second session of conference. We loved it. Even in the rain. WE had great seats in balcony and we could see everything really well.
It is amazing what you get to see that you dont see on TV. When the Prophet came in to the Conference Center it when comepletly quite and everyone stood. I know that is normal, but to watch him and see how he stops to shake everyones had that he walks by. Even the secerity guards. Then after the session, we were sitting there watching all the Aposles leave. As you all know there was great childresn choir in the afternoon session. As the Prophet was leaving, all the children were sitting on the edge of their seat trying to see the Prophet. All of a sudden he stops and gives a BIG wave to alll the children. You never saw a so many smiles shine then you did at that moment. These two experences I witnessed confirmed to me that the Gospel is true and that Pres. Monson is a true Prophet.

Then a really neat thing happened while we were sitting waiting for conference to start. There was a group of college students that came and sat down behind us. One of the guys were talking and said that he was a "Tolman" I turned around and told him that we were Tolmans. Well of course that started a big conversation. He is from the Issac Judson line and his GreatGrand Fathers name was Glade, and his Grandfather and Fathers name is John. So we are thinking he is a brother to Royal Clifford. We need to do some reacher and as Don & Joann where they fit in on the family line. This guy said that he just received a book on Issac Judson and asked if we would like one. We said yes and we gave him our information. Hopefully he will contact us and pass that along.

It is amazing how things like this happen. I have always thought that there were not very many Tolmans around, but latley I am asked if I am related on one Tolman or another.

Sunday we just stayed home and watched Conference. I tryed making homemade bread and have to say that I did not to that bad. Thanks for the recipe Debi.

What would Conference be without rain.
I have to say that everything was very pretty with all the rain that fell.
Jason and Zach.
We had to take these pitcures super quick because there was a volunteer stand right by us and you were not suppose to take pitcures.
But I just had to take some rememberance pitcures. No, I did not take any pitcures after everyone was seated on the stand. I have to say, I could not believe how many people were taking pitcures after they announced not to. (I took mine before the announcement.)

Zach and Glenda

You can tell in these pitcures that Zach is very tired. The night before he had his cousin, Dallin over and they stayed up late watching the Iron Man movie and the new Clone Wars series on Cartoon Network. These two are very BIG Star Wars fans. Thanks for hanging out with us Dallin.

Zach gets his Star

As you can see I have fixed my blog. Thanks to Debi for all the help. I kind of like it, but hopefully when I get ready to change it again, I will not mess it up again. It took to long to fix it that is was almost the end of THE TOLMAN TRIO

Zach is moving right along in Scouts. He earned his Star last week at our Ward Court of Honor. This past summer he has started alot of merit badges, but has not quite finished them all. Most of his summer was preparing for those two backpacking trips that the Scouts took. As parents, we are very proud of him and he well on his way to his Eagle. He has his project figured out already, he just has to get his Life and then we can start working on it. He wants to wait and do his project after his Grandparents get home from their mission.

I fianlly got all of his Merit Badges on his Sash. We realized that the sash is to BIG and hangs to his knees. So I will try and figure out how to twick it.

A Proud Mom. I love this part of the program. I even remembered to wear my Mothers Necklace for his Star pin. I love how this necklace is looking.
I think the Star pin is my favorite so far.Br. Farley presenting the award to Zach
